Men’s Health Issues

Good health is the key to a happy life. In a fast and demanding life, health unfortunately takes a backseat whereas it should be of prime concern. There are many questions that plague your mind, but answers to these are either insufficient or unavailable. Sometimes one is too lazy or shy to discuss these with the doctor. For a healthy life, numerous things have to be set in order.

Tips for Men’s Health

Drink More Water - You can live three weeks without food, However you can only live for three days without fluid, just think 3 days and its all over, one could suggest that water is fairly important!  Your body is anywhere between 60 and 70 percent fluid. The fluid in your body is responsible for helping to keep every system of your body in good working order, including all of your metabolic processes.  De-hydrate and everything slows down.

While there is no specific fruit or veggies to eat that will eliminate your cancer risk, studies have proven that eating a variety daily reduces your overall risk.

Another easy way to consume more fruit is to start your day with a smoothie. Tropical fruits like pineapple or kiwi add vitamins, blend well, and give you an easy way to include a couple more fruity varieties into your diet. Plus they jumpstart your morning in a flavorful way.

The next series of men’s health tips all involve body chemistry and knowing what your body needs.  Because men tend to have more body mass and muscle, they need to take vitamins and minerals that are formulated to encourage muscle growth in a healthy way.

Many vitamin supplement companies now offer vitamins that are formulated based on what men need the most.  In addition, your doctor can tell you what deficiencies you have when it comes to vitamins.  A simple daily vitamin can add energy, make your metabolism work faster, and increase your brain and motor function.

Always eat (a little) dessert

Here’s why: Sweets such as biscuits and low-fat sweetened yogurts signal your brain that the meal is over. Without them, you might not feel satiated–which might prevent those midnight cravings. Diabetics should consult their physicians first! And keep away from that ghee-soaked gajar-ka-halwa!

Never try to neutralize odors with air-freshening sprays. Air fresheners don’t get rid of smells in the air; all they do is cover them up and make you less sensitive to them. What’s more, many leading brands contain potentially carcinogenic compounds as well as “natural” oils that can be harmful to inhale. If the air in your home smells bad, buy an electric air cleaner with a HEPA filter - or at least do the laundry.
