Yeast infection generally occurring in areas of the body that retain moisture. It is the main cause of yeast infection. This makes areas like the mouth, genitals, underarms, hand and feet most prone to such disease. Yeast are a natural occurrence in your body, but when exposed to a warm moist environment they can multiply rapidly and cause an infection. In most people the skin protects against yeast infections, but some people are at an elevated risk to getting this disease.

The antibiotics change the normal balance between organisms in the vagina by decreasing the number of protective bacteria.

Candidal organisms naturally live on the skin, but breakdown of the outer layers of skin promote the yeast’s overgrowth.
